Video Highlights Eastern Promise

This 10--minute video was presented by Kris Mulvihill, Eastern Promise Coordinator, at a webinar hosted by REL Appalachia, REL Midwest, REL Northwest and REL West (Regional Education Laboratories).

The video provides a summary of the history, vision and outcomes accomplished in Eastern Promise. View the video here.

REL Northwest is funded by the U.S. Department of Education. It provides information and encourages discussion that can inform research, policy, and practice.

The Webinar is entitled "Supporting College and Career Readiness Through Advanced Course Taking" and was initially broadcast on Tuesday, October 25, 2016.

What impact does taking advanced courses have for high school students? What do we know about how advanced high school courses prepare students for college and careers? What does college enrollment and success look like for students who took advanced courses in high school? Explore these questions and interact with researchers on college and career readiness during this upcoming webinar. Researchers from across the country will present new research that highlights how participating in advanced coursework is a promising factor in preparing students for college and careers.
